Bulk UPI QR code generator: up to 500 codes at once

Fill in a table, paste rows from Excel or Google Sheets, or upload a CSV, and get up to 500 UPI QR codes back in one ZIP.

Download sample CSV

Type your rows in the table, paste them from a spreadsheet, or upload a CSV with the columns upi_id, name, amount, note. Up to 500 rows. Everything is made in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Each row can have its own UPI ID, amount and note, so one batch covers a whole society, a class or a row of market stalls. It runs in your browser and needs no signup.

What goes in

Four columns, one row per QR:

ColumnWhat to putRequired?
upi_idThe UPI ID the money goes toYes
nameA payee name for the codeNo; blank is best
amountA fixed amount, up to ₹1,00,000No; blank lets the payer type it
noteWhat the payment is for, up to 50 charactersNo, but it's what makes reconciling easy

Most batches use the same UPI ID on every row, with the amount and note changing per row. You can also mix UPI IDs, for example one per staff member or one per property.

Leave name blank unless you use your exact bank-registered name. UPI apps show the payer the name from your bank's records anyway.

Why the name field matters

Preparing your list

  1. Open Excel, Google Sheets or any spreadsheet app.
  2. Use the headings upi_id, name, amount, note in the first row, or download the sample CSV from the tool.
  3. Put one flat, student, table or item per row.
  4. Leave the amount empty wherever the payer should type it.
  5. Save as CSV and upload it. Or copy the rows, without the heading row, click the first UPI ID cell in the table and paste; the columns must be in the order UPI ID, name, amount, note.

Keep notes short and consistent. "Flat 101 Oct" in every row lines up neatly in your passbook; "Oct maintenance for 101" in one row and "102 Oct" in the next doesn't. Put the thing you'll search for first.

Avoid &, # and % in notes. They're removed, because some UPI apps can't handle them.

Rows with a problem are flagged before you download: a UPI ID in the wrong format, or an amount above ₹1,00,000.

What comes out

One ZIP file, upi-qr-codes.zip, containing:

  • A PNG for every row, named by row number and UPI ID, such as 001-society-okaxis.png. Each image shows the QR with the amount, UPI ID and note printed underneath, ready for WhatsApp or for printing on a slip.
  • links.csv, a spreadsheet listing each row's number, UPI ID, name, amount, note, pay link and file name. Use it to match files to people, or to send pay links instead of images.

Because files are numbered by row, keep your spreadsheet in the same order: row 1 is 001, row 2 is 002, and so on.

For a large poster or standee, make that code in the single generator and download the SVG, or use the print templates.

Where this earns its keep

Society maintenance. One QR per flat with the amount filled in. Nobody types the wrong figure, and your passbook reads "Flat 304" instead of forty identical credits.

Tuition fees. One per student per month. The note does your reconciliation for you.

Restaurant tables. The table number in the note tells you which table paid.

Event stalls. One per vendor, or one per ticket tier.

Rent across several properties. One per tenant, amount fixed, the month in the note.

Forty payments of ₹2,500 on the same day are impossible to match to people. Forty payments carrying "Flat 101" to "Flat 304" reconcile themselves.

Sending them out

On paper works best for amounts above ₹2,000. Print each code on a slip with the name and amount beside it, and hand them out. Scanning a printed code with the camera has no special limit.

On WhatsApp, know two NPCI rules before you send forty messages:

  • If someone saves a QR image and picks it from their gallery, apps allow at most ₹2,000 per payment to a personal UPI ID.
  • Pay links open a page with a Pay button, but since April 2024 UPI apps block link and button payments to personal UPI IDs. The page shows your UPI ID, which the payer can tap to copy and pay to directly.

When someone pays by typing your UPI ID, they type their own note. Ask them to write the flat number or the student's name.

QR code or payment link: which to send

Matching payments at the end of the month

Open your UPI app or download your bank statement and search for the note text. With a consistent pattern, "Oct" shows every October payment, and the flat or student name tells you who paid.

Whoever is missing is who you remind. Because each code already carries its amount, a reminder is the same QR sent again.

Collecting towards one list of people every month? Group collection gives you a shared paid / pending list.

Changing amounts next month

The amount is part of the code, so a new month or a new fee means new codes. Keep the spreadsheet, change the amounts and the month in the notes, and generate the set again.

Before you print forty of anything

Generate the set, scan three codes at random, and check that the amount and note match the row you meant. An off-by-one mistake in a spreadsheet only shows up after the printing is paid for.

Questions

How many QR codes can I make at once?

Up to 500 per batch. For more, split your list into batches.

Can I make bulk QR codes from Excel?

Yes. Copy the rows from Excel (without the heading row) and paste them into the first UPI ID cell in the table, or save the sheet as CSV and upload it.

Can each QR have a different amount?

Yes. Amount and note are set per row.

Do I need a different UPI ID for each one?

No. Most people use the same UPI ID on every row. You can use different UPI IDs if the money should go to different accounts.

What format do I upload?

A CSV with the columns upi_id, name, amount, note, with or without a heading row. Without headings, the columns are read in that order.

Can some rows have no fixed amount?

Yes. Leave the amount empty and that code lets the payer type the figure.

How long can the note be?

Up to 50 characters. Short and consistent works best.

Is my list uploaded anywhere?

The codes are made in your browser. The pay links in links.csv contain each row's UPI ID, amount and note, so anyone you send a link to can read those details.

Can I print them myself?

Yes. Each PNG is a labelled card about 900 pixels wide, fine for slips and counter cards. For big posters, use the print templates or the single generator's SVG.

Excel se bulk QR code kaise banaye?

Excel mein chaar column banaiye: upi_id, name, amount, note. Har flat, student ya table ke liye ek row. Sheet ko CSV mein save karke upload kijiye, ya heading chhod kar rows copy kijiye aur table ke pehle UPI ID cell mein paste kijiye. Ek baar mein 500 tak QR bante hain, jo ZIP mein download hote hain.
